Featured Artist
Carl Avery
Carl Avery is a self-taught artist who has been building his career since 2007. Today his work spans large-scale murals, logo design, and his own online shop, where he sells original Native American art and prints. Raised on the Hupa reservation, Carl is Yurok, and his art draws deeply from the natural world and traditional cultural design.
Over the past decade, Carl has painted murals throughout Northern California, bringing a Native voice into public spaces and shared community places. His work leans into nature and cultural motifs to create spaces that feel vibrant, welcoming, and open to everyone who passes through them.
